Did I get up at 6AM just to post this first? No, but it was a contributing factor.
[EDIT:] ITV (In this VLOG);
- Kings are now being referred to as Monarchs.
- More notes on tiles for mapping.
- CT says he doesn't like random-weather (have my babies, please).
- Jeff (cameraman) has a sister (that many of the forum members are infatuated with).
- World's most amazing paper-equivalent to Sup2's strategic mode.
One aspect that clears the publishing concern is that with all the "I" talk from Chris and the amount of screen play and the revealing of all aspects of the game and meetings in GPG, this could quiet easily be and continue to be a self-published game.
Legendary units look much better with the scrolled out view. Maps are coming on nicely, and I have a good feeling this game is going to be huge!
Awesome work Chris and the team, you're doing a massive job!|||Things I noticed that made me happy:
-AUTOCAST!! YES!!
-the dragon when they were showing different units had some passive movement when still. I think that adds a lot.
-The parchment thing was really cool. It is in development, so I'm sure they'll smooth it out, and the idea is just absolutely great.
-The time it was taking for units to move, meaning, of course, big maps.
All in all, I am very impressed. And happy.|||Someone needs to screen capture all those units
I'm starting to get pretty excited for this game.|||I'm glad my question got answered, but I wish I had phrased it better.|||Everything about this was awesome..
No randomness in-game
Pretty nice unit scaling(except the dragon, I expected it to be bigger, hoping it's only a mini-legendary unit, so a larger dragon could be a game-ender(?) instead of a endgame starter)
The overlay looked awesome, even this early!
What did Bryan reveal by accident..? It's there too fast to see
Couldn't read the text clearly enough with my sleepy eyes.. Gotta get some sleep.. -_-
But I did read that the Huntress is Queen of Lions, excels at archery and siege benefits, uses Wild Magic and is strong with agile units..|||I can think of a lot they revealed.
1. There are 5 factions.
2. What the factions are;
Paladin (The Just King)
Huntress (The Queen of Lions)
Dark Wizard (The Manipulator)
Warrior (The King of the Vikings and Giants)
Engineer (The somethingIcantread Queen)
3. There are different types of magic.
4. Magic and physical attacks are (possibly) going to be handled seperately.
5. Each monarch has specific traits that seem to refer to what their armies are good at.
So yeah, lots there.|||I really want my question answered:
Will they consider adding stationary man-eating trees to a map?|||Calling dibs on the Engineer right now.
She. is. mine.|||Thank god random weather has been officially banned from KnC! Sorry Cybran FF...
The parchment map looks great, very good idea Mystery Man! I would make it optional though as some players might be irritated by it. (If you zoom in and out constantly it might become annoying after a while.)
The units look awesome, the dragon idle animation does indeed add a lot, wizards with autocast sounds good.|||Col. Jessep|||Cybran Freedom Fighter|||I'm becoming more and more optimistic about KnC as these videos progress. So much awesome stuff. The parchment effect looks pretty sweet! I hope it's toggable though. If it's as cool as I think it's going to be I'll be buying it for some of my friends.
On the downside, did you notice on the after effects demonstration how it reoriented his camera when he zoomed all the way out? They really need to toss that lousy SupCom 2 mechanic.
anyway I loved all the things I saw. are all those monarchs for the same faction? I wonder if they will work like gods in AoM. that will be awesome.|||Would someone be kind enough to screenshot... well.. everything on this vlog?
I kind of ran out of photobucket bandwith... Dunno how...|||the factions just sound awesome, and hey 5 factions, thats just great.|||canvas zoom thingy was sweet!
