Give them a secondary attack please! Let them throw fire into the building! You'd never hit a building with a sword or your bow to destroy it!|||Korsan82|||Not for that type of building, no. the white parts of the building are mud-reinforced straw with horseshit (iirc, in real life) and you can definitely damage the building using a sword. Brick, stone, cement, massive wood, and whatever the ancients make their buildings out of, probably wouldn't suffer much from swords, arrows, fire, etc.
Blue shirt! Not a white shirt, but its progress. must push him into the light side of the colour spectrum: away fromt he dark side of the colour spectrum!!!
|||Ok, so now that they read suggestions on the blog and crackedout@gpg.com, whats the primary line for suggestions? The forum, or the email?
Beta sounds great. Hopefully with a beta the glaring balance issues we saw in SupCom2 wont be a problem Would love to be part of it!|||AoE3 had soldiers throwing torches at buildings in a special siege attack. The current method is good enough, although I'd like the see the swords actually make contact with the building. Excellent scale by the way.|||So you want soldiers to be Soviet conscripts now?
I'm fine with any abilities so long as they are automatic. No button smashing abilities unless it actually makes sense. Archers getting flaming arrows after gaining a certain amount of experience/upgrade, footsoldiers carrying torches at night (?), magical fireball, dragon fire, Greek Fire (siege) etc.
Soldiers holding torches would be an interesting way to light buildings on fire, but that requires a separate burning mechanism.|||No, it wasn't a special activated attack. When you attacked a structure with a soldier, the unit will automatically start throwing torches at the building. It was just a normal, instant-damage attack, no burn-type damage.|||X-Cubed
