What is different about this RTS?

What are the features of this RTS and what makes it different?

The only thing I know is that you can tactical zoom.

And that you can rush trough other armies while melee fighting.

I really want to see something new.

When I first heard about SupCom I was so blown away. Tactical zoom and huge armies. Awesome. In a way it disabled me. I can't play other RTS games where you can't zoom out. It's like crawling in dirt.

SupCom2 is great, a technical advancement of SupCom but I did not get that awesome feeling that I had when I first heard about Tactical zoom.

CT give me that special feeling again, I need it.|||we don't really know anything about K&C yet.

btw, it's STRATEGIC zoom, and it has crippled most of the folks here too. :P|||You know about KnC much earlier than we learned about SupCom.|||Subway Commander?|||HAL 9000|||HAL 9000|||Castles and how its going to factor in your army I guess. Long range cannons or attacks that can strike across the battlefield maybe?|||Castles were built via laborers, stonemasons, stone, wood, carpenters, and the supporting town. Its going to be an incomplete game it if doesn't include an economy which depends on RTS elements of harvesting and converting raw materials into resources and those into combat forces.

Simply put this game would be nice to see but its years away.|||Indiana07|||For starters i'm expecting the game to take back a bit of the scale that got lost during the transition from FA to supcom2.

Why? Because I don't want two or more capitals within trebuchet range of each other.

In that regard, i'm expecting something along the lines of FA +supcom2 performance & pathfinding with a good dose of alternative fantasy thrown in.

What we know of the game we only do so through the video-logs.|||Is this what GPG has come down to, mass producing video games. I am very hesitant that I will even get this game after the stunt with sup com 2. GPG your more worried about making the perfect console RTS than trying to make RTS better. After all your track record shows you didn't care about Sup Com, Demigod, or Sup Com 2. Why should I consider Kings and Castles if I am investing my money into something you are not going to support or release new content to supplement the game. I thought at one time GPG cared about making games that revolutionize gaming, now I'm not so sure anymore. Quit spitting out partial games, give us a game worth buying GPG.|||How much will that revolutionary game cost? Who will pay for its development? GPG doesn't have all the money in the world, so they have to make do with what they get.|||keduoh_llib|||It has strategic zoom, gothic architecture, a faction called THE EMPIRE, and melee combat which they are putting a butt load of work into.

Strat zoom makes it a day one purchase anyways, huzaah!
