EDIT:
The multiplayer is "working", CT is going to Gamescom, cross your fingers for some kind of KnC or not KnC related news.|||0:56 "a second castle" so multiple castles :D
3:04 Queen/Kings/whoever will be able to mount units..? Dragon riders?!?!?!?! AWESOME if so!!! :o
Also Jessica got awesome movie taste! :D Big Trouble in Little China! :D|||Damn... She IS pretty hot.
Sorry. I have nothing intelligent to contribute as my head feels like it's being bashed repeatedly by an anvil.|||Those walls looked disappointingly difficult to stand on, but maybe that will change when later versions of walls are revealed.|||Guapa!!. I don't care.. I love ya ! ;)
Once said that.. now on the gaming content of the VLog. Maybe, maybe.. would be a good idea to be able of bending the wall a little, if you will, by the mouse's wheel.
Just an idea though.|||2:43 For the glory of seeing something I posted being shown in the video blog.
Yay|||Mazrix|||"He's bulletproof!" FTW! :D
Pretty revealing info right there, dunno what he;s saying about skinny, pfft. More like, wow, she (not Jess - the game... we all know it's a she) got curves. ;)|||Yay for 'really, really' huge maps.
Depending on how the gameplay works, gigantor maps could allow for awesomely gigantor Risk-like battles. If it has a FA style eco balance that promotes territory control and expansion, but it lacks some of the easy/high-speed assassination 'game ender' weapons (e.g., nukes, game enders, strat bombers, T3 air in general), then it could turn into a lovely/torturous slugfest of a landwar with armies slogging it out to gain ground, secure resource nodes, and push on.
I hope that's true. And I hope they allow for slower pacing so those longer games can develop more gracefully (i.e., with unit and 'tier' balance that prevents players from just skipping 75% of the units and going straight for some overpowered uber-monster).
And before anyone gets carried away, I'm not saying I want the whole game to be ponderously slow. If they want it to play well in multiplayer, then I hope (and presume) that they'll be aiming for 30-60 minute games on medium-large maps, with smaller 'arena' maps that can be decided in 5-20 minutes.
But I think big maps in K&C can succeed even better than big maps did (for some) in FA. I loved 20x20 and 40x40 maps in FA, but it would be nicer if the teching could be slowed so armies made contact and fought the whole way through instead of just seeing people rush to the end units.|||skinny content... maybe, still better than nothing. Confirmation of dis/mounting kings/queens is nice, and some actual pre-alpha gameplay including freezing is always enjoyable to watch.
Btw, asymmetrical map, i love you GPG (& jessica) :D Please keep it that way.

...Okay, fine....
/me give CT a high five resulting in the destruction of a few city blocks.|||Mr Pinguin|||What would go along with that idea would be a reincarnation of +shootall from TA/ta:k
Basically your units are only hostile to targets that have the capability of fighting back (unless toggled). In this way, taking over territory would only require bringing down enemy defenses and creating your own. The infrastructure would remain, making it far more profitable and easy to capture the enemy's advanced resource gathering and intel structures.
In supcom there was no point in flattening an enemy's t3 mexes only to build your own. The problem was that capturing was simply too inconvenient or difficult of a task to do, though it makes far more sense realistically.|||"what's that from?"
Answer: Big Trouble in Little China.|||Yay for navies!|||HighFlyer15|||re1wind|||WHY IS THERE NO CHICKEN?!?!?!?!?!?!|||You mean in the vblog? Like the one at 1:02?|||I don't think he looks very clever or attentive right now.
As for assymetric maps, those were multiplayer games being shown in the vlog as CT specifically talked about desyncing and K&C freezing up, unless that also happens in skirmish.
A "Siege" game mode involving one or more players defending while one or more players attack would definitely be an interesting mode. Unreal Tournament/2003/2004 Assault mode comes to mind.|||I THINK THE CHICK VOICED DERU FROM DS2|||As long as someone mods in the equivalent of Phantom N I'll be happy. :D|||sorian|||Oh.. Yesterday I did eat chicken wings. Not sure if I'm feeling remorses or not right now..|||Mr Pinguin|||Limited resources would ruin the game.
What's the point in being able to build huge armies if you are unable to build huge armies?
