Post your crackedout emails!

[:1]I think we should have a thread where we post the emails we send and receive from CT, so... here it is! No sense keeping the information to yourself.
On the camera being able to rotate up:

1- Are you going to include creeps, e.g. wild animals, monsters, living throughout the maps? Or perhaps unallied villages too

2-Better/different animations for melee infantry when they're attacking buildings.

Chris:Yes, there are creeps! And Yes, there will be better animations!

keep it at two or three please GPG!
[PS:] can we get this thread stickied? 'twould be rather nice to have as reference later on.|||Can we get some sort of resource that the Ancients can claim from their enemies bodies?|||BulletMagnet|||Yeah, it's too early to tell whether or not 4 resources will be awful in any way. At least I am up for something new.

It was the weird mix of storage and rate that is so difficult to manage. Even if you don't have either the storage or the income to build something, you can still build it. So the things you can afford are not clear to the new or average player. The lack of any good tutorials or certain UI instruments also hindered understanding of the system.|||I think the primary issue was with the mex upgrades, many types of pgens, and storage.|||I disagree with you both... kinda'. IMO, you're both partly right. the cost-benefit of upgrading mexes (really really high risk for a really really high reward later on) gave you 300% extra mass per deposit made the economy a roller-coaster ride that scared off a lot of people. actually, storage for non-adjacency bonus was a big one.|||My question was pertinent about single player extras.
The second one was about having more z action, SC and the rest of the RTS genre have been limited to "planes of movement", while SC mixed it up a bit, I want to see more, and because I had already figured that gold and stone were going to resource types (guessed correctly I see), the game parallels that of Age of Empires.

The boar and the statue seem like very powerfull units. Will these be very late game units and how does one take them down?

Yes, they are very powerful, and late game… you would take them down with lots of little units or a big unit… like another King Statue, or a Dragon, or those Zeppelin ships!
|||Mine was also answered in a video but the e-mail is slightly less vague.
Q. Do you guys have any idea about the extent of the micromanaging in this game yet. Are you going to have a lot of units with special abilities that have to be manually activated. I would prefer if you kept the manually activated abilities down to a relatively low number.
A. We like to strike the balance on things like this, but because the RTS gamers like a little of both, we just try to be careful not to overdo it… know what I mean?
So that seems interesting enough.
