Press Release

Gas Powered Games Announces Chris Taylor’s Kings and Castles
Acclaimed developer to take fans behind-the-scenes of the development of its all-new real-time strategy game
REDMOND, WA (FEBRUARY 15, 2009) – Gas Powered Games announced today that work has started on Kings and Castles, an epic real-time strategy game for the PC and next-generation consoles. This one-of-a-kind experience will let players take on the role of one of three powerful kings who are vying for control of an all-new, original fantasy world.
“We’re doing something different this time around,” said Chris Taylor, Creative Director of Gas Powered Games. “We want to take our fans on a great adventure with us. They’ll get to go behind-the-scenes and watch the game come to life from start to finish.”
Using the game’s website (http://www.kingsandcastles.com) and social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter (follow DeathBot9, Chris Taylor’s personal account), GPG will give its fans a (mostly) unfiltered look inside the development process of Kings and Castles. “Synergy will be leveraged, and paradigms will be established,” said Taylor. “More importantly, buzzwords will be utilized.”
GPG will be posting regular updates about Kings and Castles on its website. The first video blog went live today. It contains graphic scenes of wood chopping, chickens, and the obligatory horse biting.
Future installments will take fans step-by-step through the design process, discussing the creation of prototypes, the work that goes into creating the visual look and feel, while others will cover the proper care and feeding of chickens.
Kings and Castles will utilize the state-of-the-art RTS technology that Gas Powered Games has pioneered with its previous titles. Key features include the ability to zoom to any level, incredible maps, and eye-popping visuals that will run on a wide range of systems.
“We also promise to gouge evil from its shell at least once, or maybe twice,” said Taylor. “But not three times. That would be weird.”
For more information on Kings and Castles, please visit http://www.kingsandcastles.com. Send your feedback and horse care tips to crackedout@gaspowered.com.

Is this the Game Jables is working on?

We know that Sorian is busy with a different project. I wonder if Jables is on this one. That would give an idea of how long it's been in production.|||I don't think so. Sorian said he's not on this project, and he's apparently on the same project Jables is.|||Never said I was on the same project as Jables.|||I thought you did. Oh well.|||sorian|||Scath... ahem, Sorian

April Fools!

Wait, what? It's February? Crap....|||Go away please.|||I laughed.

Not.

Kings and Castles page on Facebook not accessible

I think GPG somehow made the same mistake as Square-Enix did with the SupCom 2 Facebook page: not making it accessible to everyone from the start.

If I click the Kings and Castles page it just takes me to the home page of Facebook. My guess, just like with SupCom 2, is that there are regional restrictions set on the K&C page. People living in the US can probably view it/become fan but folks from Europe (including me) probably can't?

These restrictions can be easily removed according to Facebook Help by the person/admin who created the Page:

Quote:|||Yep, same here. Seems they made the same mistake as Square Enix initially with the SupCom2 Facebook page ;)|||I have passed this info along and as soon as I get a proper URL for the facebook page, the site will be updated.

Thanks for the report.|||This should be fixed now! Thanks for pointing it out.

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Chris-Taylors-Kings-and-Castles/301420299823|||yep. Australia can see it now.

thanks.|||Hahaha, Bulletmagnet, remember challenging off-topic to find out your real name a few months ago? I believe I have now discovered it :P|||old news, my friend.|||Yep, works perfectly now.

Is this what the test sub section was for?

Well?|||maybe...

or maybe not :D|||And Off-Topic gets pushed further down the screen.|||FunkyKong|||I guess it was.|||We may never know.|||Well, we have to find out one day.|||KnC|||MaulMachine|||...Yes, to post in a thread on the subject, you do.

I think the Kings and Castles section has its very own Czar.|||gpgITninja

Publisher?

Anyone with good guesses?

Do they even have one yet?|||No - Thats why they are still allowed to communicate with us ;)|||In that case, screw publishers!|||Since when do they need a publisher? Screw them publishers, indeed.|||Digital distribution ftw.|||With all due respect for GPG but with no publisher attached to a project like this, even if it's just late in development when it gets signed, KaC won't allow for the same audiovisual standards and options we saw in the original SupCom games. Animating a fantasy world is gonna be a lot more intensive than a sci-fi universe. At least they already got the Cybrannasaurus fire breath for a dragon. :)

If GPG even had to sign with a publisher for Demigod (not exactly the most content-rich game ever) then I am afraid that a publisher for KaC will be just as essential.

Best options?

Don't know, every publisher had a f*ckup sometimes. I think currently EA Partners or a known German publisher (like Deep Silver/Koch) looks the most interesting.

Just don't get involved with SEGA, Jowood, Ubisoft or Atari. Bad stuff will come from that imo.|||German publisher? Really?

Square Enix was already weird enough =P|||Ryuken|||speaking of which; what ever happened to that competitor to Demigod that EA was peddling?

vapourware?|||I bet even DeadMG could program a competitor to Demigod and actually have it compete.|||Stin|||BattleForge isn't even like Demigod and it's not all that good, either.|||EeeeK! BaTtLeFoRgE. -lol

-----

Kings and Castles needs a developer that doesn't go by the name 'Electronic Arts'.

we don't want the excessive invocation of "crunch time" layed on the team just to launch the game on time.|||I thought gpg would be self-publishing?|||GPG are -sort- of self publishing, rather than dealing through a central publisher who then sells the rights out regionally, they will be doing the selling themselves.

It should help them avoid being under the kosh of one big company and give them a little more creative freedom.|||Yes so instead of being a slave they are more like a prostitute.|||scotchtape622|||Did they say for certain they were self publishing?|||Ryuken|||That's why I say it. :) Space Siege wasn't Sega's only f*ckup on PC btw (and it also wasn't the game it was supposed to be at first if we can believe the rumours). Just ask Petroglyph.|||Demigod had to be the most content less modern game in the history of gaming, that's not a good sign. The game had 8 maps, of which only 2 are regularly played and most play cataract most of the time.|||Demigod's faults or not, Stardock is one of the better publishers to be partnered with.|||Ryuken|||I'd put this one under rumours and off-the-record talk. GPG can't directly say anything like that or they wouldn't find a publisher for a new game anymore. I heard the same story about Petroglyph and their Sega-published Universe at War btw.|||And really I wouldn't doubt those stories. On the publishers defense they are trying to spend the least amount of money on a game while getting the most out from it. Some just really suck at that balancing act whether they make money or not from a game.

From the Press Release: "“Synergy will be leveraged, and paradigms will be established,” said Taylor. “More importantly, buzzwords will be utilized.”"

"Future installments will take fans step-by-step through the design process, discussing the creation of prototypes, the work that goes into creating the visual look and feel, while others will cover the proper care and feeding of chickens."

"“We also promise to gouge evil from its shell at least once, or maybe twice,” said Taylor. “But not three times. That would be weird.”"

Seriously? I mean, that's great, but why didn't they do this with SupCom2?|||It pisses me off he decided to do that with this game and not his crown jewel SupCom...|||BulletMagnet|||^ o.o X-D Wow...lol|||maxfreak|||I'm not sure how I should feel about this.........

Mike|||maxfreak

Please use GPGnet

It had to be said.|||Yes, please do.|||Yeah, everyone acts like GPGnet is this horrible thing, but it is honestly better than many of the alternatives.|||Yes, use GPGNet. Don't give up on it as it has much potential. Just fix the bugs, make it a bit friendlier to new players (patching system needs work), and add in a few optimizations for newer versions of .Net, and you've got an MP system that can match any other. It will be good for the SupCom community as well, because many people who gave up SupCom thought it was a POS. A new GPGNet could attract old users back. If K&C uses GPGNet along with SupCom and FA, then perhaps K&C users will be more willing to get FA and vice versa. So I don't know how going with GPGNet can be a bad decision in the long run.

GPGNet could also help in building a brand-name. Just as Blizzard places Battle.net as the MP client for most of its games, GPGNet could be the standard for GPG games. A good GPGNet 2.0 could build the brand.|||It's not gonna happen. They abandoned it for a reason. Even if it were workable the changes in gaming in recent years is seeing developers move away from providing their own solution. Why should they pay to develop their own system when dedicated services are available to just plug in?

I wish this wasn't the case but services like Live and Steam (possibly Impulse) are going to take over. I'll be shocked if they bring back GPGnet.|||I wish battle.net was a generic service other developers could get in on.|||zordon|||Fix the bugs first:

- get proper NAT negotiation in, borrow Impulse's or Steam's solution to it

- don't let GPGnet install 10 incremental patches after each other; just one patch (latest version) is all people can bear every time they come late to the game with a fresh install

- fix the Vault bugs

- get some form of autodownloading of community maps/mods in

- give GPGnet chat avatars/achievements to every new race you introduce in an expansion.

Then give the entire service a great medieval fantasy skin for KaC (or even faction skins).

Also implement a persistent online medieval fantasy world war.

All that, on top of the existing neat features of SupCom GPGnet along with the game itself being good as well, will win you the internet. No doubt about it. :)|||Using GPGnet in its current state would be awful. They should rewrite it from scratch, if they really want to use something like that.|||what people want is the features of GPGNet. give it to them in working form anywhere, and they'll be happy.|||GPGnet 2.0

nuf said.|||From what I understand, they cannot fix GPGnet because nobody who developed it still works at GPG and has any idea how it actually works.

This seems a bit far-fetched (that those left don't know how it work, I am pretty sure those who developed it ARE in fact now gone) and could be pure speculation. It is just what I have heard.

*awaits an Eric pwning*|||yeah .net developers are soooooo hard to find.|||I approve of this thread.|||RastiMinato

K&C's "experimentals"?

In this background picture you can see some interesting stuff in the background, which you couldn't on the official page.

We have a clear & cut dragon (aka cybranozilla MK2.0) and what seems to be a tusked or horned creature of experimental proportions.|||Titans, goliaths, monsters or something organic based, not experimentals.|||I thought they were called Legendary...|||Yeah, in the interview he called them Legendaries.|||Oooooooo a fancy name :D

I approve the name legendary.|||More of the concept arts reveals something like LOTR:BFME. What do we expect?

What are we expecting here, do we expect somthing that is realistic in which you slowly build up your caste from scratch and probably don't ever get very big? But this is Chris Taylor, he likes big and slighly unrealistic so will we get somthing somthing where a dragon comes down and eats everone once your wizards tower hits t3?

Or more question what do we all wan't, it seems kings and castles could mean almost anything to me. I do like the idea of its taking a couple of days for my knights to cross my 81x81km map though.|||What do I expect?

A forum full of pointless bitching and whining for the next 18 months.|||i think this one will turn out better.

constant feedback from the community during the design process will make the game better, or let everyone jump ship early so nobody drowns in a tsunami of disappointment.

since they've got nothing to show at the moment, we have three options right now;
  • give them the benefit of the doubt,
  • help them make something epic,
  • GTFO.
i'm choosing option [2].|||Yeah, this could be really good. I'm hoping for squads personally :D

Basically... I'm hoping for Warhammer Fantasy with strat zoom.|||Obviously_Not_Toot|||Xenoc|||Xenoc|||Xenoc|||Xenoc|||Only for as long as the community feel they're being listened to. however, what inevitably will happen is even if *some* of the community ideas are clearly taken and acted on, there will always be more ideas which are put forward and not used (either because they're no good, can't be balanced, etc etc).

Once that starts happening you have more people who see ideas *not* being used than those that are. People are dumb,a nd will get into the mindset of believeing that the game is some kind of ideas-by-committee job, but their ideas are being ignored.

The end result is a forum full of bitching and whining, with the majority of people seeing their ideas not acted upon (for perfectly legitimate reasons).

I wish GPG the best of luck, but I fear human nature is going to lead to nothing but my earlier prediction.|||Xenoc|||FunkOff|||BulletMagnet|||I expect a Supcom.like game that makes me remember the good old days with AoE2 while playing it, just with every awesome thing supcom has (expect bots and pewpew).

That´d be awesome! 8)|||Xenoc|||GrayRainsFalling|||KnC|||niplfsh|||MaulMachine|||KnC|||Gnats3|||You want evidence? Here you go.

Also, and I know this is a bit of a radical idea, but maybe, just maybe, game designers are usually above average at designing games because they, you know, actually do it successfully for a living. Many/most devs don't design the game by the way; they make the art and program the game. Presumably the designers wouldn't be designers for very long if their game was horrible, and probably wouldn't have become designers in the first place.

I'm not totally opposed to community feedback and suggestions; in fact, I typically think that it can be very important. However, many gamers let themselves get convinced that their barely-thought-through idea is the One and Only Way and cry when they aren't treated like god's gift to gaming.|||Gnats3|||BulletMagnet|||KnC

Quote:|||I hope this talk of building up a huge majestic castle doesnt encourage turtling.

Still I would like to see how huge and majestic a castle you can make. Built into a mountain or something.|||Yeah or how units will interact with it.

Is it gonna be like Stronghold (very extensive options, manning every wall and such, being able to determine almost every single castle detail/structure part) or like Age of Empires II (just a standard RTS building which shoots arrows from invisible folks hiding in the inside of the 'castle')? I would prefer the Stronghold approach but made a bit more accessible and visually clear.|||CT|||Quote:|||Legendary Units, ftw.|||KnC|||DeadMG|||Mooilo|||Obviously_Not_Toot|||katzenkrimis|||Obviously_Not_Toot

Not TA Kingdoms

Ths game should have the quote "NOT TA Kingdoms" on the box just for good luck.|||For what reason?

It's a new beginning.|||They should just try to take the good things from TA:K (very decent race variety, music, storyline, movies, interesting setting/universe) and leave out the bad stuff (crappy pathing/AI, not being able to really build your own castle, too many obstacles, poor performance at release, weird fog of war/range stuff, single-resource system, etc.).

Anyway, TA:K is property of Atari, CT didn't 'finish' TA:K as well so I don't think we'll see a carbon copy of that game.|||Ryuken|||Supreme Commander: Kingdoms|||mgmetal13

That said, I was sort of hoping GPG would make a couple of new maps for Demigod, fart out a final Forged Alliance v3603 patch, and push SC2 out the door before embarking upon their next great adventure. They make awesome games, but they never quite feel as if they're finished.

A proper campaign

Please don't make a mistake of making a linear and strictly scripted SP campaign.

Although Starcraft 2 isn't released yet it is likely to set new standards in making RTS campaign that is both story driven and non-linear.

In the meantime Dark Crusade and SW: Empire At War offer good templates of how open-ended campaign is made. with greater detail and the strategic zoom concept this would be even greater, for example if you can have a strategic metamap in which you manage your empire.

There are many ways in doing this, each area having a story and quests trigger, the different sequence of conquest yields different results...

Anything is better than classic Warcraft 3 type campaigns where you feel like an observer with a slave leash on your neck.|||We'll see how linear SCII is truly gonna be but Empire at War and Dark Crusade featured some horrible ideas and way too much filler missions (same as with DoW II). Open-ended is fine as long as you can make every battle meaningful, not even the Total War games can manage that which is saying something.

Too linear isn't good either idd, you need one hell of a story and plot twists to keep it interesting then, like the original StarCraft and WarCraft III: The Frozen Throne did. WarCraft III? Wasn't that good storywise imo, way too many new characters not being memorable and such.|||You know what would be better?

Badass multiplayer.

Single player lasts a few hours - Multiplayer lasts for years.|||Obviously_Not_Toot|||CNC3:KW has a really interesting 'world domination' mode. IT provided a lot of single player fun. I would love to see something like that for 1v1 or, even better, multiplayer fun.|||I'd like campaigns like in the old Microprose games, such as Gunship, M1 Tank Platoon, or Red Storm Rising.

Semi-Story-driven, but with generated missions that affected the entire war.

Alternatively, have a look at Falcon 4.0's dynamic campaign.|||Yes, Kane's Wrath is another example besides Dark Crusade, such campaigns would be cheaper to make and you can spice them up with secondary objectives and other various condition like conquering sequence, time limits to make it far more replayable.

seems like a cool idea

I support anything RTS, but this seems like a cool and original idea. I hope stardock gets to publish it. They did good with Demigod.

Granted, I only played it a few times on a LAN, so I don't have a whole lot of experience with it, but it seemed kinda fun.|||I like the concept. That's what brought me interest in this game. I think it'll be great.|||Usling2|||TBO I respect your opinion, but don't you think a major factor of those issues were due to Stardock being brought on board late in the development cycle?|||If I can remember, the issues between Stardock and Demigod were rather messy.|||Chris Taylor and Brad Wardell seem like such a win team.|||Polynomial|||Polynomial|||Usling2|||katzenkrimis|||I personally cannot wait for this, as there are far too few large medieval RTSs, with Stronghold 2 really only being the most recent one that I know of. Is there a Navy?

It may be kings and castles, but will there be any combat in the form of warships?

It may be a bit too early for a gpg employee to comment on this, but are there any particular reasons not to have naval and amphibious units?|||re1wind|||When there's Kings, and when there's Castles, there obviously has to be ships involved.

Now Remember...

The game is also being developed for PS3, Chris Taylor said so himself in his latest DICE interview in reference to Indie Games. Lets do it Chris! Lets push forward into the console world when everyone else is backing out!

Just something to take into account when you're making suggestions. It has to be viable and consistent for both platforms.. otherwise you end up with a crackbaby-like offspring like SupCom was for Xbox 360.|||Yeah I just heard/watched that.. (it was a great discussion btw).

But I refuse to take their multiplatform plans into consideration when it comes to making suggestions, especially since this is an RTS game.

I'm not at all interested, personally, in playing an RTS on a console. Therefore, I'm not interested in the special needs of console RTSers, whatever they might be.

If GPG can make PC-style RTS games work on a console through an awesome UI, more power to them.

I will still request my gigantor, 81x81 Supcom style mega maps and micro-heavy heroes that requires deft mouse control, and then GPG can try to figure out whether or not such things can work for a console themselves. :) If their goal is to make a super-streamlined RTS experience then they won't like most of my suggestions anyway. ;)|||Scyn

Vlog #2 - Information on the whiteboard

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AgzP-Xgd ... re=channel

So the newest vlog is out.. Lets start making out what all the text is on the whiteboard at 1:57 and forward..

I'm a bit tired tho, so I'm just gonna leave it here and write what I can see tomorrow, if you guys haven't gotten all of it already.. :)

As he explains it's broken up in three, as in three factions, the bottom right reads Wizards, Beasts, Insects and the top definitely has Dragons..|||We may have to pull out our CSI video enhancement programs.

First faction on top: English/Roman, dragons, typical medieval

Second faction on lower right: Wizard, insects (bubbled), beasts, dark (bubbled), raptor, and can't make out the rest.

Third faction: Summoning mages, elementals, animals, druids, sea serpent, etc... Something's bubbled in but can't make it out.

Of course these are only concepts for factions and they seem cool, but goddamnit I expect to see evidence that they looked at Non-Standard Fantasy

His best work was austin powers, by far.|||FunkyKong|||FunkyKong|||Trailer Park Boys|||Obviously_Not_Toot|||Dayjob Orchestra|||Jim Carrey is ew, byt Myers was OK.

a small but important request (please read, GPG)

please GPG/CT, make the game moddable. and I mean really moddable. its not that I don't have faith that you will do a tremandous job, because I do. but its for several reasons.

one, I know that alot of people in this comunity want you to make it well moddable. second, because it really improves a game. any game, no matter how good it is, can always be improved upon. even if its just by adding those few extra units or that one small improvement that the developer, simple didn't have time for to put in.

and thirdly, and for You (GPG) most important. it will most likely, if the game is moddable enough (and good enough, offcourse), increase sales. allow me to elaborate on that statement. there are alot of devoded gamers out there. gamers that are devoded to one (or more) franchises, and will buy anything that has something to do with it. I know this, becouse I know a few (personally) and come across others on the internet all the time.

hang on there, I'm almost done. I will take for example the game Sins of a Solar Empire. when I first read about it, I didn't really like it. I watched a trailer on the internet, and I still didn't like it. so I left it alone. about a year later I read in a gaming magazine (don't quit remember wich one) about a mod for the game. this is when I started to get interested. you see it had Star Wars in it. and I love star wars very much(DV is my Idol). so I checked it out. it seemed like fun. so I bought the game(it had become alot cheaper by then) and tried it out. then I discovered I didn't just liked the mod, I liked the game to. and now, more then a year later, I am an active member of the mod group who is making that mod and am still play the game (also with other mods, cause there are alot).

so for example, if one were to make a LOTR mod for K&C, it could cause the same kind of effect. and even if they end up still not liking the game, you still get extra money.

so now you see, that making a game well moddable, can also be good for your sales. so please GPG/CT, make the game well moddable, take an example of SOASE (wich is a very well moddable game btw) and let the community have their fun.

thank you for taking the time to read it. I know its quit long, and that I'm not supposed to do that, but its for a good cause.

ps: sorry for the bad spelling. I'm both dislectic and not English.|||ironically, the only spelling mistake in the entire post was the word dyslexic.|||Fellow dyslexians UNTIE!|||done!

Isn't that the whole purpose for CT. To get the word out and get feedback on what people want.|||Obviously_Not_Toot|||DI_Elbereth|||Modding or bust.|||CommanderDude|||one of the reasons ***craft series did so well was the very powerful editor which came with it.

I know I stopped playing "normal" warcraft games shortly after release.

The time I spent doing Arena, Survival and whatheckelse however was on a whole different level.

I know supcom 1 hasn't had a map editor for too long a time, it's critical such tools get released outright, best shipped with the game, to capture players. as long as basic functionality is there, it's ok.

Allowing for many different game modes is a great way to keep your customers happy.

the ***craft series hasn't had perfect editors when it started, either.

Is it just me, or does this game have wayyy too many fans?

It was announced a couple of weeks ago, we have nearly no information, we don't even know what the damn layout's going to be like, no names, information, nothing solid, but there's already a community forming.

Creepy? Lucky? Fake? I'm confused.|||Why not?|||That was CT's purpose, to get a buzz going early on. 1. I have already spent WAY to much time with Supcom. BulletMagnet your posts count is an order of magnitude greater than mine. 10K vs 1.5K.

2. Supcom is NOT The Shawshank Redemption. Its closer to the Matrix: Revolutions. Or maybe Terminator 2.

3. K&C will just be Supcom2 with a different skin. It will hopefully be TA:kingdoms done right.|||okay, I don't think [1] has any relevance to the topic.

point [2] is interesting, because the Matrix sequels polarised a lot of people. T2 universally was recognised as awesome though.

when it comes to [3], the skin is what i'm talking about. is that skin made of cheese, or is it made of chain-mail armour?|||The post issue was a joke ;-)

Sequel issues aside.... Is Warcraft 2 anymore cheesy that Starcraft?

Its like the TA franchise is going the other way to the Warcraft franchise.|||WarII and SC are pretty equal is their cheese levels, IMO. naturally when one is a SciFi game, and the other is pure fantasy it's hard to compare them, but i think Blizzard kept on with the same direction.

while i don't like Sup2's cheese, i'm willing to give KAC a chance with it. just as long as GPG doesn't decide to do a sequel that tries to be serious later on.

i'd still like KAC to be serious, but that's just what i like about games.|||i think he'll probably do what relic did. they came out with the half realistic CoH. which is kinda the same idea as what supcom 2 is doing.

then they used the same idea to bang off DoW 2, which was much more of a cartoon.

----

unfortunately, i can see chris doing the same with Kings and Castles. but i really hope he doesn't. somewhat realistic landscapes and troops are a huge part of making this game great. i hope he doesn't F it up by giving us the torchlight look with the same style of characters.

i'll feel like i'm 12 years old again.

Image|||That looks pretty neat, what game is it?|||screenshot is either mage knight apocalypse or torchlight, i think the former. or some other hack'n slay diablo clone.

This faux-"teh matoor" attitude is the worst among gamers. It's like when you graduate from reading Harry Potter to oh I don't know, Kushiel's trilogy, and then it's all "d00d, F that kiddie shiiit, moar grimdark pl0z".

Sure there's room for other games, but what's pretty funny in this case is that SupCom is not exactly a shining example of grimdark art direction; its a child's toy robots, and there's nothing wrong with that, fighting over large tracts of land.|||christian louboutin

About TAK

Hi :

I like TAK, and especially the mod HTAK(Hardcore TAK), which I can't find it now, but if it can be found I suggest Chris take a look of its idea of balancing TAK.

And though TAK simplified the economy, I still think its economy is too simple, it should be more sophisticated though. The TAK story and scene is good, the factions settings are good too.

And may I ask if there an expansion of Supreme Commander 2, which I already ordered, to be release before Kings and Casltes?|||All good questions, but none of which are gonna get any answers any time soon unfortunately ;)

A faction revealed

As we can see in the topic about the video blog one of the faction should be the ancien some kind of fallen mages. And we can guess that there is a sort of relationship system (arrows which leads to the other factions. What do you think about it?

Do we have any say?

I love the idea of making this game public early on and making the video blogs and everything else.

The question I have is, is GPG looking at these forums, checking out our ideas and concerns and shooting them back and forth?

Even if they aren't implementing them, It'd be great to know they're at least looking at a post or a comment and saying "yea, that'd be cool" or "hmm, that's a good point".

I'm a huge fan of GPG and I'll probably buy K&C either way, but I think it'd be cool for me to delude myself into thinking I was part of the first community to actually impact a developers thoughts on how to make their game. It was one of the things I loved about DOTA, that Icefrog actually took stuff from the forums occasionally and said "Look, this was you guys! It's a bit different, but I got the idea from you people on the forums! Thanks for the great Idea! It makes the people who are playing the game actually feel like they have a hand in the game. Isn't that what GPG is trying to do?

Again, thanks for the info GPG. I appreciate knowing what's up. :)|||if you see things about health and armour in the next few videos; you'll know that they're playing with ideas from the community.
