Still, I suspect the point is that the development cycle isn't always "NEW AWSUM IDEAZ!!!1 AND NUTS"|||BulletMagnet|||The explanation of flow field was cool (and also explained why we didn't have big maps in SupCom 2). Overall it was sort of an "in between things" video blog. intersections vs coords?|||I think the idea was the old one dealt with problems as it met them, which lead to unnecessary movement, and added time, while the new one premakes a path that avoids all major obstacles?|||It also looks like it tries to further optimize it by using as large of grids as possible.|||seiya|||If they do explain it more indepth then isnt better to learn it in a class room. Afterall the coders are payed to do what they learned in school. :?|||If it was taught in a class then every RTS game would have it. Someone at GPG invented it themselves (well, not really; they read a white paper, then wrote an implementation) so it obviously wasn't taught in a school.
Besides, I'm sure GPG would be happy run a day long seminar on their pathing and rendering tech. to show off how epic their engineering department is... so long as woepriest pays for the plane tickets.|||Seems to be that soon, you guys there in the States are not gonna need of those damn beeps anymore.

By the way, what the *beep* says that guy at the end of the Vlog?. Perhaps... "He's *beep* filming this" ?.|||The_Silencer|||I will be the first to admit, having Chris walking around bursting into meetings is kind of annoying at times. His burst ins are not staged, he is really just waltzing into a meeting in progress and it is a huge distraction.
That being said, it is really nice to be able to give you all a backstage glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes and is worth the occasional annoyance.|||I can sort of tell that the employees are either scared of CT or just annoyed during his crazy interviews. :P|||sorian|||Yeah, I'd like to thank Sorian for that huge AI's improvement for the SupCom 2 game as well. How not!. :D|||sorian|||You know, having a bit of a blog post supporting each vlog with notes and information about said vlog could be something worth investigating.|||My Catalogue isn't good enough for ya? I'm hurt ;p
