In sup com 2 we were provided so small amount of info throughout the development of the game and were basically kept blind until the very last month when more information started to leak BUT this info didn't leak because GPG leaked it but because of other fans (sup com alliance, and stuff). Now the very different thing is that the producers are the people who took the big responsibility of providing us with how the process is going and making sure we keep track of the situation.
I must say that at this stage this game is looking AMAZING and when it hits stock this thing we are looking at currently will have nothing to do with the final product. So instead of being worried, anxious and critical towards the game better be thankful and enjoy what you see.|||People criticize the game to make sure that GPG are aware of the things that they have noticed, which is exactly why GPG is sharing so much, to get our views on it.|||dominikat|||I dont know about you guys but I was so disapointed with Sup Com 2 that I really want this game to be like Sup com FA. I want another epic massive with scale, strategy and tactics again. I really enjoyed all the other taylor products except for SC2. Enjoyed all the video blogs too.|||Coffee_Zombie|||Peacebreaker|||IMO the only reason that it get's boring every now and then is from the lack of maps.
Scale wise, I hope they use bigger maps. In fact, I think Servo said that "if they could" make more maps then they would be definitely bigger scale.
Economy wise, I am dreaming of something like this:
http://forums.gaspowered.com/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=46741&sid=03dffa20b23e6c4c4a72f8873b024cfe
Namely, what X-Cubed recommended.|||Honestly, SupCom2 with bigger maps would suck for 2 reasons:
1. lag
2. mobility and response
I am not sure how they would solve these issues. Too many 4v4 games on the alternative to Setons turn into a absolute crawl. It's awful.
I am not saying it can't be done right, but the alternative to Setons has never played through without unplayable lag.|||thecommanderD|||I think there should be 25 to 40 maps in total at release for KnC. The 54 that FA had was simple overkill. Looking back after reading GRF's comment, I realized that half of the default maps were never even played by myself. Out of the 100 or so custom maps, I've played about 10. So huge numbers of maps are simply a waste of time. The number can't be too small either, or else people will complain of the lack of variety. So 25 good, high-quality, replayable maps will be fine. I want some maps that are unusual in design and allow for non-standard forms of play.
There was an FA custom map called Battlefield that had no mexes, only some trees, rock, some factory wrecks, 3 GC wrecks in the middle of the map. I think this is an example of a map promoting non-standard methods of play.|||I do agree with the OP. This game is going to be BIG!!!.
At least that's what my unofficial crystal ball says =) BIG!!!!!.
