Lore

Can you plz make story actualy interesting??
Not like in sup com 1/FA/Sup2
Make it like in warcraft 3..|||It's going to be "a classic tale of good vs. evil"
*yawn*
The warcraft 3 story wasn't great IMHO.
I liked the way supcom handled the story, by sidestepping it altogether. It made the missions feel like operations done by competent commanders, there were no cliches or hollywood style heroics, it was fighting done by the book. However this might not be suitable for fantasy, a genre where heroes/heroics/unstoppable evils etc. are a dime a dozen.
edit: Just remembered the "darkness descending" series, which I hope to continue as soon as I can find the next book*. Its essentially a fantasy version of WW2, but there's no heroics in sight, you get the feeling the author plotted out the logistics, battles, forces and major events in a timeline and wrote the story from that. None of the characters are "heroes" in the fantasy sense of the word, some are brave, some are not, the book merely tracks their lives as the war progresses.
*No spoliers after Book 3 pls|||Good Versus Evil is always a good story if done right. I just hope in the final product the evil 'footmen' are different form the good. Not just in colour.|||gpg should hire Dots to write the story. nuff said|||Lt_hawkeye|||Who ever they got to write SupCom2 should not be involved in this product and perhaps shot. The story in SupCom 1 was pretty good. I think just a fun entertaining story with a subtle plot would be nice. Think action comedy like lethal weapon and rush hour fairly good movies that entertained all and with a decent plot.|||Coffee_Zombie|||Quote:|||K-lord|||Lt_hawkeye|||There is a poll up that gpg is hosting about the campaign... id suggest you cast your vote.|||-The-Baron-
